Topspin Lob, Lob Tennis

Description

The coach feeds a deep ball to hitters.

Players must hit a topspin lob and then return to the back of the line after their shot.

With more advanced players the coach should feed the balls from the back of the opposite side of the court.

Coaching Points

Working on the basic technique of the top spin lob with easy feed to start of with.

More advanced players can be pushed back with the feed or be made to play the shot on the run, i.e. some of the most typical situations in which the shot is played.
